Rodney F. Hochman
Dr. Hochman has served as a member of our Board since the Spin-Off. Since January 2025, he has served as Senior Advisor, Healthcare at Bain Capital, LP, a private investment firm, and as Chief Executive Officer Emeritus of Providence, a Catholic not-for-profit health system. From 2016 through December 2024, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Providence. He also served on Providence’s board until December 2024.
From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Hochman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Providence Health & Services, Inc., which merged with St. Joseph Health in 2016 to form Providence St. Joseph Health (now Providence). Earlier, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Swedish Medical Center from 2007 to 2012. From 1998 to 2007, he held various leadership roles at Sentara Health System. He is a former Chair of the American Hospital Association and the Catholic Health Association. He previously served on the boards of Diversey Holdings, Ltd. and SonoSite, Inc. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Hochman is a director of LeanTaaS and serves as Vice Chair of Boston University’s Board of Trustees and Chair of the Institute for Systems Biology’s Board of Directors. He also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board of Boston University’s Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and the Foster Advisory Board of the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. He served as Board Chair of Truveta from 2024 through March 2026.
